Bling for Your Crafty Things

Last weekend in Boston was wonderful! One of the places we visited was Old Sturbridge Village, a living history museum of a 19th century town. They had a lot of fiber textiles represented from displays, to living sheep (Merino Cross and Gulf Coast Native) to a carding mill! I posted a few pictures on Instagram. It was also chilly so I was decked in handknits from my head to my feet.

You know what they didn't have? Stitch Markers. Little luxuries that we crafters love to dress up our projects with. As we head into the holidays, they also make a perfect gift by themselves or paired with something else.

This week we are taking a look at the wide variety of stitch markers available to us modern crafters. Many of the shops featured specialize in stitch markers so if you see a style you like, take a look at the shop for more options! As always, thanks for supporting FiberCrafty and our shops!

Just for fun

Did you know Clara Parkes used to be a baker? It's true. If you read some of her books you will stumble on references to this past life of hers. She occasionally posts recipes on her blog and one that I have referenced and made is her delicious granola. This would make a perfect gift for teachers or others in your life the holidays start to approach! Put it in a mason jar with a label and some pretty yarn tied around the top... perfect!
